Established in 1989, we have been in the floristry business for more than 30 years with genuine advanced botanical knowledge from a business and retail perspective.
Our philosophy to share our knowledge and passion has motivated us to create this floristry program for people wanting to start a career as a florist, professionals already working in this industry or enthusiastic beginner.

Founder of Chuan Florist; with over 30 years of experience in retail floristry, the business has also successfully expanded to online platform. Alex participated in floristry events (see credentials) which helped him developed practical skills throughout the years. He is a creative innovator that translates in his floral arts and designs. Alex believes sharing his wealth in floral knowledge is also part of the learning cycle.

Preliminary of Floral Art I
Non-accredited certification.
This beginner course is aim to prep you with the basic know-how of floral design. From the common tools and equipment required, flower care, handling and maintenance method, right to the practical skills needed in completing a floral design.
Course Duration:
- 4 Modules
- Module 1: Introduction to Flower Design
- Module 2: Introduction Wrapper and Bow
- Module 3: Introduction to Handtied Bouquet
- Module 4: Introduction to Countertop
- 8 lessons x 3 hours
- 1 Assessment Test
Course Fees: RM2,100.
Intake: November 2022
Floral Art & Design II
New Era Institute accredited certification.
This course will enable you to create and build bouquet and countertop at a larger scale using the fundamental skills learnt from beginner course.
You will also discover the Japanese Floral Art or also known as Ikebana in which we will learn the basics of achieving this minimalist beauty. As part of the cultural exploration, you will also learn the approach to Chinese Floral Art by understanding the culture, flower and vase representation.
Pre requisite: Completed and passed Preliminary of Floral Art I or having minimum 1 year experience in floral arrangement.

- Module 2: Intermediate Countertop

Professional Floristry III
New Era Institute accredited certification.
This advanced course will discuss on the subject of floristry; what is expected and required, and how it may become a possible career for you. Also learning floristry elements such as shop layout, flower and foliage handling, care and maintenance from a business perspective, and consideration of apprenticeship.
You will learn more essential designs such as wedding and bridal, funeral, and most importantly floral stand which play a large role in floristry.
Pre requisite: Completed and passed Floral Art & Design II.

- Module 3: Bridal
- Module 4: Funeral
